Η αποδόμηση της εναλλακτικής κουλτούρας

Μερικά πρόσφατα posts από το πασίγνωστο HIPSTER RUNOFF
I feel kinda down. I remember the day that the Merriweather Post Pavilion leak came out, and it felt like we all had a reason 2 b alive again. Have only listened to it like twice. Feel bad. It seems like ppl didn’t even focus on the album–they were just interested in ‘analyzing the hype‘ behind Animal Collective.
Your band must invade the Perception Economy. Your Band must no longer be a band. Your band must be a meme. A Meme Which Generates subMemes. These memes must be compelling, intriguing, and interesting enough for people to ‘follow’ or at least think that you are ‘worth following.’
I recently saw an advertisement for some sort of taco/quesadilla made by Oscar Meyer that made me think it might be worth trying, even though it looks like it was assembled by a white mom from suburbia. The advertisement declared that it was blogworthy. I only enjoy blogworthy things. Blogworthy memes. Blogworthy ’so rand0m’ news stories. Blogworthy MP3s. Blogworthy celeb gossip coverage. Blogworthy gimmick blogs. Blogworthy technological gadgets. Blogworthy photographs. Blogworthy shows. Blogworthy ‘improv everywhere’ flash mobs. Blogworthy viral videos. Blogworthy gimmick products like the snuggie.

Do yall know if strippers accept Monopoly Money? [via the economic crisis]
