Yours Truly [Angry Mob]

At last, the time is nigh, Kaiser Chiefs unleash their new album, 'Yours Truly, Angry Mob', which finds the band accelerate past that threatening crossroads that is the "difficult second album".

'Yours Truly, Angry Mob' wields it's musical might from the off in the shape of the single 'Ruby' - a track to rival anything the band have put out single wise to date. 'Angry Mob' is destined to be a huge live favourite as well as hogging space on the stereo alongside several tracks that have seen action during the band's festival appearances last summer - the likes of the 'Learnt My Lesson Well', emerging from the studio transformed from the shadow of it's former self, 'Heat Dies Down' will have 'em pogoing in the aisles en masse whilst 'Everything Is Average Nowadays' is perhaps the thread linking 'Yours Truly...' with its predecessor.
Meanwhile, Nick Hodgson temporarily takes over vocal duties on the plaintive beauty 'Boxing Champ', 'Try Your Best' with it's popsydelic feel (slightly reminiscent of Julian Cope) and the brilliantly titled 'Love's Not A Competition (But I'm Winning), great lyrics and turn of phrase. 'Yours Truly, Angry Mob' then, as one band member has been heard to utter, "is an album full of big choruses and even bigger guitars".
In an age when plenty of bands rarely get past recording a debut , Kaiser Chiefs have excelled with the resultant album which is a perfect 'main dish' to the starter that was 'Employment'.

το πρώτο single, Ruby, ακούγεται ευχάριστα πάντως (ώσπου να το ακούσουμε κι αυτό 11253 φορές), ενώ υπάρχει και ένα τραγούδι με τον καταπληκτικό τίτλο Love Is Not A Competition (But I'm Winning). ακούστε το 1o στο myspace.
