Eluvium | Copia

so far, the best...

This is probably one of the most beautiful albums I have ever heard. I know this is going to be hailed as Matthew Cooper's watershed album, his landmark contribution to the ambient scene, if you can even call it that. Sounding more like a classical record than anything else, this is by no means a background record. Gone are the whirls of Kevin Shields-esque guitar that were prevalent on his previous releases, instead replaced by strings, brass, keyboards and piano. It grabs you with its gorgeous swelling and ebbing strings, stunning piano movements, and warm brass that just adds a whole other element to the album.

Υ.Γ.:Ειδικό βραβείο για τους τίτλους Prelude For Time Feelers και Indoor Swimming At The Space Station (που εντελώς τυχαία είναι και τα αγαπημένα μου).
